KXMD Williston 1980

This is what viewers in Saskatchewan got (as even acknowledged in the legal ID) for US stations until a few years later when Detroit became the point of origination via satellite. KUMV was NBC, KXMD was CBS with secondary ABC affiliation. Eventually KSRE (PBS) Minot extended its signal to the northwest so it could be picked up in Saskatchewan as well. And for a full time ABC affiliate KTHI Fargo was piped in via Manitoba (later switched to WDAZ Grand Forks.) I watched a lot of cartoons on these stations.
